Speaker: Sonia Gupta, M.D.

Dr. Sonia Gupta is a fellowship trained Abdominal Imager who is the Director of Ultrasound Services at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and an Instructor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School. She subspecializes in obstetric ultrasound, abdominal ultrasound, MRI, and CT as well as image guided procedures.

Dr. Gupta loves teaching residents and fellows who are going to be the next generation of radiologists. In her faculty role and as a leader in the American College of Radiology she is a mentor and sponsor of women in radiology. She is the co-chair of the SheRads Women’s Radiology Group at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Gupta is the past Chair of the ACR Young Professionals Section and is a councilor for the ACR state chapter of Massachusetts.

Dr. Gupta is passionate about utilizing the power of social media and New Power methods to advocate for patients and radiologists. She speaks frequently on the topic of incorporating New Power methods into AI development and healthcare leadership. Dr. Gupta is optimistic of the positive changes AI will bring into the realm of healthcare delivery services to patients as well as its impact on improving radiologist expertise and accuracy. Dr. Gupta consults for Google, IBM Watson Health, and AI marketing research.
